There's not really much use in going to personal details, so I won't bother. I guess it's relevant to note that I'm 20 years old, and creating a site dedicated to an animated movie. Laugh if you must! Sure, go ahead and call The Fox and the Hound a kid's movie. What makes it so? Because it's animated? Not true. Animation is an art form just like music or painting. And great art can be appreciated at any age. I'll keep it relevant, I promise. Of course, I wasn't alive when it was released in the theatres(wait, yes i was. It was realeased in 81, right?), so my first exposure to The Fox and the Hound was at a friend's at age 10(?). I watched the video with my friend, and I think he liked it, but not to the same daze inducing degree which I did. Unfortunately, I don't remember much about the night, except that I spent the ride home with dreams of the movie in my head. You know, it's really unweidly to keep writing out "The Fox and the Hound", so I think I'll just refer to it as FATH. Works for me. Anyway, I ended up buying the movie a few months later, and it came packaged with a plush Todd(or was it Copper)? Regardless, I ordered the other one, and had them both a few weeks later, in order to play out all my fantasies. Actually, I didn't really do anything with em, but they're still cool to have. Not really much to tell after that. I watch the video every few months, and it never dissapoints. There was one period where I went for more than 2 years without a viewing, and when I finally did see it again....bam! Just like the first time baby! So I think it's a good thing to lay off for a long time. Kind of makes me regret how I used to watch it so often when I was younger. Did you know that when I was like 12 or something, I watched it once, then rewound it and started again! Heh heh heh..ugh. | |
